Description
This series is an invitation to cultivate choice utilizing the framework of the Three Centers, including the head, the heart, and body/belly centers. Phillip Moffitt writes, “The role of spiritual practice is to cultivate choice in what we manifest. We practice in order to manifest our highest goodness and clarity.” (Awakening Through the Nine Bodies, pg 55.) In this series, we'll explore how the Three Centers can support us in just that —manifesting our highest goodness and clarity!
Three Centers teachings are part of the Nine Bodies map of consciousness (as well as other wisdom traditions), and each of the three centers (head, the heart, and body/belly centers) are intelligence centers, or centers of knowing, that can know the Manifest, Subtle, and Causal levels. Each of the centers are part of our wholeness. In this class, we will utilize mindfulness of breath and other skillful means to cultivate more presence in each center. We'll notice the presence and absence of tangles, and the felt sense in each center before and after intentionally aligning. We'll sense Physical, Vital, Emotional Bodies and open to the Subtle Bodies in each of the three centers. The three centers framework is especially supportive of accessing our measure of choice and tracing our understandings into our lives.
This series also includes teachings on the Three Hearts (the Physical Heart, the Subtle Heart, and the Spiritual Heart), which are also part of the Nine Bodies map of consciousness. Through the Three Hearts, we explore direct knowing in the realm of the inconceivable, where the Subtle Heart opens to the benevolence of the Spiritual Heart. Unity, the direct experience of oneness, is accessed through both the Three Centers and the Three Hearts, complementing the Wholeness already central to this course.
This series was created in response to interest in these teachings among community members. The guided meditations in this series are from when Dana was fired up and in a flow; they include quotes and poetry, and are an invitation to more fully take our places as cooperative allies to the heart on the journey to liberation.
This series is part of our winter and spring exploration of "Wholeness and Unity."
