Description
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves operating from a reactive "doing" mindset: judging, comparing, fixing, and trying to control our experience through constant effort. This approach leaves us feeling contracted and drained, with limited options and little breathing room. As an alternative, we can shift from the “basis of doing” to the “basis of knowing,” where consciousness can open into spaciousness and access discernment and creative possibility.
In this two-class series, we'll explore how to make this shift to access the subtle basis of knowing, where responsiveness, compassion, and genuine well-being can arise naturally. This shift isn't achieved through striving or pushing, but through learning to change levels, and accessing a natural part of our human heritage.
Model of Mutual Support
This program is offered in the Buddhist tradition of dāna, which means freely giving. When you register, you will see donation options ranging from $15 - $200. However, you are welcome to offer any amount you wish below or above this range. Finances need not be a barrier to participation. Any offering is gratefully accepted, tax-deductible, and supports both the teacher and Dharma Ground.
