Description
This intro class series will focus on four key capacities of consciousness relevant to insight practice. The emphasis will be on introducing a method of practicing Insight meditation in which consciousness itself becomes the object of meditation. The primary method of teaching will be through guided meditations including the Arriving Sequence, the Physical, Vital, Emotional, and Etheric capacities of consciousness. There will be an emphasis on grounding, relaxation, and receiving the felt-sense in the present moment. Exploring these natural capacities of consciousness helps to free the mind of over-conceptualization and support the natural arising of liberating insights.
This is a blended offering, with on-demand talks and three guided meditations that you can work through at your own pace in preparation for a single live online class. The live session will include a guided meditation integrating the Physical, Vital and Emotional capacities of consciousness and opening to the Etheric capacity. There will also be time for sharing and responses. The live session with Dana DePalma will be Saturday, August 2nd from 9:00am to 10:45am PT.
