Description
Forgiveness can be one of the most healing—and challenging—practices we undertake. Whether we carry regret for our own actions or pain from the actions of others, forgiveness invites us into a deeper relationship with compassion, acceptance, and inner freedom.
In this class, we’ll explore forgiveness as a skillful practice that begins by connecting with the heart. Through guided meditations and reflections, we’ll cultivate qualities such as lovingkindness (mettā), mindful acknowledgment, and compassion. These practices help loosen the grip of painful memories and open a pathway toward healing.
You are welcome to bring whatever you’re carrying—remorse, grief, anger, guilt, or sorrow. Together, we’ll learn how to honor these emotions without being overwhelmed by them. If you’ve been hurt by others, this day offers tools to hold them accountable while keeping your heart intact. If you feel weighed down by your own actions, you’ll find a way forward beyond guilt and shame.
The class will include teachings on the art of forgiveness, guided sitting and walking meditations, and a forgiveness ceremony to support letting go and beginning anew.
