Description

“Wholeness and Unity" reconciles the opposites of life, illuminating the full scope of reality beyond fragmentation. Wholeness is the state of having integrated your psychological and spiritual insights into your being. Unity is the state of being unified with your Buddha nature in which you directly experience your oneness with everything in this realm of existence. Unity can be experienced via awareness, where one recognizes a sense of selflessness. Wholeness includes the aspiration and practice of integrating this realization into all aspects of life.

This retreat will explore the dynamic tension between emptiness (unity) and fullness (wholeness) from the perspective that both are integral to spiritual development. Together, “Wholeness and Unity" support the ability to live wisely and be in harmony with life in this realm, however it manifests.

We will approach this profound topic with a healthy dose of modesty, an attitude of "As Best I Am Able,“ and an abundance of curiosity and wonder.

This retreat is for practitioners already familiar with the Naturally Arising Practice Method, including the Renunciation Vows, the Arriving Sequence, the Knowing Capacities (Nine Bodies), and how to direct and sustain attention, and receive experience through the felt sense. The practices and teachings offered on this retreat will build from these foundations.

Model of Mutual Support

This program is offered in the Buddhist tradition of dāna, which means freely giving. For this retreat, donations to Dharma Ground and teachers are offered separately. The first donation opportunity is at the time of registration and goes to Dharma Ground, the nonprofit organization hosting this retreat. The suggested donation range for the hosting organization is $275 - $850. The second donation opportunity is at the end of the retreat and goes to the teachers. You are welcome to offer any amount you wish below or above this range. Finances need not be a barrier to participation. Any offering is gratefully accepted and is tax-deductible.
